Sydney Thiam
I ran into my percussionist friend Sydney Thiam hiding on a lonely and sunny terasse behind la Rue du Louvre. Told him about Trilok Gurtu playing at the Jazz a Paris festival in Vincennes on Sunday. He told me recalling a project he had conducted on percussions alongside Trilok Gurtu for a Lalo Schifrin live recording in Köln years back. Would be nice to picnic in style Sunday. Also ran into a surviving flyer from one of my last gigs aimlessly dangling onto a street waterpipe. Still around :)
Had to shoot this passage just down my street, the Galerie Vero-Dodat. Magnifique.
