ANDALUCIA

"Calle del Coronel" By Firouz

The Caravan jumped onto a Bus, Rode down to Tangiers, jumped on a boat and set foot in Alegeciras to be greeted by friend and Artist from Argentina Daniel Jameson. After hanging out in his painting studio on the outskirts of seaside town Estepona I finally settled for a hidden spot on a windy hill facing the sea and a bay. Plans for a painting exhibit in Marbella have come to a sudden halt after the Gallery decided not to open its doors this summer , but it feels good to be in Andalucia. Visiting Sevilla is something I recommend even in blistering heat. The Guadalquivir river is a refreshing sight and even though unemployement is down to 40 % amongst young people, the atmosphere is relaxed and happy. Personal fave of the moment , Diego La Cigala's recent album , " Cigala & Tango" mixing flamenco singing with Tango piano, a killer.
